The Luzerne United Methodist Church was founded over 120+ years ago when the town of Luzerne was known as Mill Hollow, PA. Below you can find some answers to some commonaly asked questions about our Church.

  • What is it like?  Luzerne UMC is a small town Church whose members truly consider themselves and anyone who enters to be family.  We gather on Sundays from all walks of life to hear the Good News of Jesus Christ.
  • What about my kids? Children are always welcome. As our Savior said, "Suffer little children, and forbid them not, to come unto me: for of such is the kingdom of heaven." -- Matthew 19:14 KJV.
  • Where do I park?  Street parking is available directly in front of the Church on Bennett St. and 1/2 block away on Academy St..
  • When are services? We have 1 weekly service on Sundays at 10am Eastern Time.
  • What if I'm not a member of the United Methodist Church?  We welcome our Brothers and Sisters in Christ from all Denominations, as well as those that do not consider themselves to be part of any Denomination, through our doors to share in our time of fellowship, reflection, and prayer.
